United Nations Delegations Womens’ Club hosted ACEC

The United Nations Delegations Women’s Club (UNDWC) January Tea Party host was Magdaléna Rothová, the director of Association for Culture, Education and Communication (ACEC).  She gave a presentation on Addressing Social Inclusion of Roma Communities by Association of Culture, Education and Communication (ACEC) at the virtual event.

More than forty ladies from all over the world, members of the club, joined the club’s January meeting. During the two-hour meeting, she presented ACEC’s activities, the situation of Roma communities in Slovakia and ACEC’s approaches to social inclusion, which ACEC has been working on for more than two decades.

The presentation was dedicated to present the Midways for Roma Communities so called Babice, the Transport assistants and the Roma Spirit Award and followed by discussion. “Wonderful and very touching presentation. Thank you,” responded Ana Danchevska. “Thank you for a very touching presentation,” followed Betty Robbins.

UNDWC is a social club for UN delegates and the wives of deputy mission delegates. Civil society is also represented at the UNDWC. The club is sponsored by Catarina Vaz Pinto, wife of United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The president of the executive committee is Andrea Mlynárová, the wife of the Slovak diplomat and permanent representative of the Slovak Republic to the UN in New York, Michal Mlynár.
