Ľubomíra Slušná – Franz

In 1999 founded and lead the non-governmental organisation Association for Culture, Education and Communication – ACEC. Honorary president since March 2020.

Since the beginning of her career, she’s organised exhibitions and projects which have met with success at home as well as abroad (Pezinok ’87, Common Space 1997, Invisible Exhibition 1999, We are in the Same Boat 2001 (collab. with Vlado Popovič), White Greeting for Belarus 2004 and others).

Under her leadership ACEC organised projects in support of international cultural exchange, strengthening and improvement of communication, interpersonal relationships, social issues and education (New York, Washington D.C., Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Minsk and others).

In 2003 she laid the foundation for the health education programme Healthy Communities and in 2010 the international programme Together for Better Health (collab. with Paul van Hoof and Elena Marušáková), which are successful and active to this day.

In 2012 she initiated the foundation of the Platform for Health Support in Disadvantaged Groups (PPZZS), which unites organisations striving to resolve issues linked to health in disadvantaged groups in Slovakia and where she is a member of the presidium.

She’s the creator of the Roma Spirit project and a member of the administrative board of Via Cultura.
