Its author, painter and sculptor Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c, invites you to the small solo exhibition of the same name, “With Hope VII,” which will present a selection of his paintings and sculptures. The opening will take place on August 4, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava hotel. The exhibition will be open to the public until August 31, 2026.<\/strong><\/em>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c is one of the prominent figures of contemporary Roma visual art. The painter and sculptor from Pova\u017esk\u00e1 Bystrica focuses in his work on painting and small-scale sculpture. His paintings are created spontaneously, influenced by his current mood, ideas and emotions, and are characterized by vivid colors and abstract artistic expression. The counterpart to his painting is his small stylized sculptures made of clay and bronze.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Since 2024<\/strong>, he has been the author of the Roma Spirit award statue<\/strong>, which is presented annually to exceptional individuals, teams and organizations for their contribution to building an open, fair and inclusive society. In 2016, Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c became the first laureate of the Roma Spirit award in the Culture category.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“My paintings come from an idea, an impulse, a mood and a desire to transfer my thoughts onto canvas. When a person creates from the heart and does it with love, people can feel it,” says the exhibition’s author, Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The exhibition With Hope VII<\/strong><\/em> was created in cooperation with the DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava hotel<\/strong>, which has long been a partner of the Roma Spirit award and creates space for cultural and socially beneficial initiatives.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We believe that a hotel should be not only a place to stay, but also a space for culture, meetings and inspiring stories. We are pleased to be able to present the work of the exceptional Slovak artist Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c to our guests and the public,” said Jakub Majcin, General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava.<\/p>\n

The opening will be an occasion to mark the 27th anniversary of the founding of the Association for Culture, Education and Communication (ACEC)<\/strong>, which since 1999 has been connecting people, supporting dialogue and highlighting positive examples of cooperation through cultural, educational and social projects. One of its most notable projects is the Roma Spirit award, which for eighteen years has been recognizing people and organizations that improve the lives of Roma people in Slovakia or coexistence between communities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The exhibition With Hope VII<\/strong><\/em> offers visitors the opportunity to discover the independent creative work of Milo\u0161 R\u00e1c, author of the statue that has become the symbol of the Roma Spirit award. The small-scale exhibition creates space for a personal meeting with the artist and presents a selection of works born from his spontaneous creativity and distinctive artistic style.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be open to the public from August 5 to August 31<\/strong>, 2026, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bratislava hotel<\/strong> during the hotel’s opening hours. All exhibited works will also be available for purchase.<\/strong><\/p>\n
